  1. Best movie I've seen this month (October)...The Town, there's a lot of emotions going on in the movie. Action sense its good, and the main character (Ben affleck) shows that even you did something wrong it doesnt mean you cant change. There's always a room for a change and chance to do what is right. I dont know if justice has been done, but the movie just shows whats really happening in real society.

  4. I don't know if the movie needs to be current but this is really a coincidence because just last night, I really had this urge to watch "My Best Friend's Wedding" because I haven't stumbled upon it for quite some time now (I used to play the soundtrack in loop and watched the movie multiple times - that's how I rate it as the best movie for me!). In other words, I gave in to the urge...hahah!
What I like about it is that the script was written smartly with of course the exemplary performance by the cast, with some outstanding scenes here and there. I really love the fact that it kept me guessing who will end up with whom until the last part of the movie. It also tackles issues about true friendship, about jealousy and about letting go.
Haaay... my fave line was that of Dermot Mulroney's character, Michael when he uttered: "If you love someone you say it, you say it right then, out loud,...or the moment just...
    passes you by..."
    Another haaay... ;-)

  6. WHAT'S THE BEST MOVIE YOU'VE SEEN THIS MONTH?
I have seen some really great films, but for me it was "LETTERS TO JULIET" my real name is (juliet) so i imagined that i am juliet in this movie.
When a young American (Amanda Seyfried) travels to the city of Verona, home of the star-crossed lover Juliet Capulet of Romeo and Juliet fame, she joins a group of volunteers who respond to letters to Juliet seeking advice about love. After answering one letter dated from 1957, she inspires its author (Vanessa Redgrave) to travel to Italy in search of her long-lost love, which sets off a chain of events that will bring a love into both their lives unlike anything they have ever imagined.

WHY? The musical score, the sets, the screenplay, the acting, and the cinematography. I consider it a perfect film. Was it the most entertaining..probably not, but a perfect film no less. That's the beauty of this movie and that's what makes it so different and for me better than all the others.

  7. The best movie that I have seen is Huwag Kang Lilingon (Anne Curtis and Kristine Hermosa) because of all the movies that I have seen, this is the only one that made me really afraid for days and I even had a sleepless nights because of it. It made me into thinking how certain experiences can bring out the monster in you.

  8. I'm big in home movies and prefer it over current cinema flicks now showing. Why? For the same price, I get to bond with family and serve select pica-pica everybody will adore :)

Now, onto the best movie we've seen this month. A lady meets a young man whom she knows she has met in her youth, this exact same man, but as an older gentleman. She then confesses she has loved him all her young life, and they fall in love. On the best times of their togetherness, the man disappears - their wedding day, at night on their bed, when their child was born. The movie unravels the intricacies of love, forgiveness, the present and the future. It ends on a sad note of parting but made me realize to live each day to the fullest, and to tell/show those whom you love how you feel. No question, The Time Traveler's Wife is the best movie I've seen to date. Now, I'll have to read the book... :)

  9. The best movie I've watched this month is DEVIL by M. Night Shayamalan.
Expecting it to be bad since he started to go mainstream but I guess being the writer and not the director went well for him.
I don't have any phobia at all but after watching the film, it made me want to use the stairs.
Faith is everything you need. :)

  10. Me? I can't stop laughing and raving about The Proposal! The hilarity of this Canadian lady boss who proposes to her American assistant to force him to propose to her to escape deportation is comical. But everything that happens after the deal is sealed becomes even more comedic!

They make the trip down to Alaska for granny's 90th birthday where she learns the assistant is from a well-to-do and kind family. An immigration officer tracks them down and blackmails the assistant's dad to make them tell the truth. They indeed make the walk down the aisle, but the lady boss can't take in all the misconception and lies to the kindly family [and the fact that they've somewhat fallen for and over each other already, lol] and calls the wedding off. The assistant reclaims her just before she is to fly back to Canada.

I love this movie's humor and kilig factor! And did I forget to say Bullock and Reynolds are both eye candy? Here comes the bribe!

  12. The best movie I watched this month is the film "The Legend of 1900." It stars Tim Roth as 1900. 1900 is a boy who was abandoned on board the ship Virginia upon birth presumably by his immigrant parents. He was adopted by a coal man named Danny and practically grew up in the boiler room of the SS Virginia. Danny hid 1900 from the ship officers and did not not know of his existence.

Eventually, he grew up and became talented pianist. Max, a musician on board the ship got acquainted with him and encouraged him to play on the ship. He eventually established a good reputation for playing the piano and attracted attention among the passengers of the ship.

He was persuaded by Max, too, to come out of the ship and try to woo the girl he was eyeing but 1900 felt that the land is not for him and was too much overwhelmed since he has stayed in the ship all his life. Time came when the ship had outlived its use and they have no choice but to sunk it. But still 1900 cannot be persuaded to leave it. He presumably died together with the ship.

Personally, this is a very touching movie for me. This is an old movie which I raked from a friends piles of videos yet the plot immediately caught my attention so I watched it. It's very impressionistic and full of philosophy. I can't help but cry in the end because 1900 is so obstinate yet he was reasonable. There was not even a bone of badness in his body. I felt sad that somebody as good as him chose to end up that way. But the best thing about movie is that I learn a lot of things about life. I wish there are more people like him and he shouldn't have ended up that way. So much like Tuesdays with Morrie.

  14. I haven't watched the movie "CHARLIE ST. CLOUD" yet. But this Zac Efron movie really got my interest to go to a movie house (with someone? haha). What I like about this movie is the emotion behind the story.

I've always been into brotherly affection. Since I was a child, I've been dreaming of having an older brother; someone I can talk with, play with, hangout with.

But fate is fate. We have to accept it. This movie touches my heart how Zac's guilt drives him to make things materialize event though the reality is - his younger brother is just an image of afterlife.

**I have to remove my first comment, I forgot the email. HAHA!
