BLIND ITEM #30: AWARD-GIVING BODY SURPRISED WALK-IN ACTRESS WITH TRIBUTE

She wasn't expecting it because she wasn't even nominated!

A Maturing Sexy Actress (MSA) got the biggest surprise of her life when an award-giving body recognized her for being a distinguished on screen thespian.

No, it's not another case of "Take it! Take it!" Manay Lolit was not behind it or even the actress. She was simply a walk-in at the awarding ceremony to show her moral support to a friend who won an award. She was even dressed in casual gimmick clothing, her hair was flat, and she barely put on makeup.

When called to accept her award on stage, MSA was visibly in disbelief and hesitant to accept the unnamed plaque and trophy. She was heard telling her friends on her table: "Ano ba 'to, pati ako na napadaan lang nagka-award!"

Manay Lolit is actually a nice lady in the closet. I've worked with her and she was surprisingly pleasant. But with a few lawsuits on her record and a lionhearted look, many rattle in her presence. They know exactly that she will not let one bad move unnoticed.

 NO. 4 ANNABELLE RAMA

Pick a fight with one of Annabelle's children and you'll be butchered to death by this feisty talent manager's no-hold-barred sharp tongue. She is a very protective mother who thinks of nothing but the best for her family. We all copy Annabelle's signature frankness complete with her distinct Cebuano accent. Tama ba, Dong?

NO. 3 KORINA SANCHEZ

One of the scariest thing that someone who wants a career on television can do is work with Korina. She demands professionalism and a lot common sense from everyone who is part of her show. She will not hesitate to blow right on your face your mistakes and incompetence. Korina is equally brave with the issues she tackles in her radio and television shows. Indeed she has the balls and she is the third feistiest woman on Philippine showbiz.

NO. 2 ANGELICA PANGANIBAN

I agree with Mr M, you may accuse Angelica of anything but being a liar. The former child actress is the perfect real life version of "Rubi," her character in campy telenovela based on a Latin American soap. She is bidang contravida. Whether you like it or not, you would her from her a piece of her mind. She will not leave a fight with scarring her enemy's face. Her Twitter account is worth following.

NO. 1 CRISTY FERMIN

In as much as I tried avoiding the predictable, I have no choice but place Juicy and Paparazzi host Cristy Fermin on the No. 1 spot-- a much deserved title. Most of the bravest and juiciest entertainment news today comes straight from her mouth. She doesn't hesitate to attack her enemies and defend herself on national television and in her tabloid columns. Do not get into her way and you would end up crashed and damaged. 

10 MEN MOST SUSPECTED OF BEING GAY IN PHILIPPINE SHOWBIZ TODAY (PART 1)

They say that the gay rumor is one of the standard stories attached to a male celebrity. You are not popular enough if your sexuality has not been questioned in gossip columns.

So I decided to compile the 10 most suspiciously gay men in Philippine showbiz today and present the reasons why people do not think they are straight and the compelling facts that disprove the doubts.

PIOLO PASCUAL

Reason To Believe: Being the most popular actor today, it is but common that Piolo is subjected to the gay issue. He is too perfect to be a man: his body is worth dying for, his is mysteriously handsome, he is a damn good actor, he is kind-hearted and well-mannered. A few gay sex videos scandals, which he denied to be him, came out. He was rumored by Lolit Solis to have had an affair with fellow actor Sam Milby (which ended in a libel suit and Solis asking for public apology) and even to singer Mark Bautista. So far, the public has not seen Piolo involved in a serious relationship with a woman. (Serious here is defined as a relationship not directly connected to a movie or telenovela promo.)


Reason To Doubt: He has fathered a son in his younger days and is now romantically involved the mega daughter KC Concepcion.

SAM MILBY

Reason To Believe:  When Sam was still in PBB, the public noticed that he is a deadringer of Piolo Pascual. The Filipino-American actor was the other party involved in the Lolit Solis libel case which forced the latter to ask for public apology. Some straight men think he is gay for leaving his girlfriend actress Anne Curtis.


Reason To Doubt: Sam is really just boyish acting (when he was starting in showbiz), sweet and courteous. Self-confessed gay Uma Khouny claimed that Sam is the father of his sister's first born.

JAKE CUENCA

Reason To Believe:  Jake is a gay icon. He embodies the sexiness of a man that most Filipino gay men fancy so it is but natural that he is presumed to be one of them. I think it's Jake's flirty eyes and sense of wildness and vanity that alarm everyone's gaydar.

Reason To Doubt: Jake is actually a playboy in real life. He is linked to almost all of his leading ladies including Roxanne Guinoo.

ENCHONG DEE

Reason To Believe:  Enchong's most noted appreance was in Cosmo 69 Bachelor's Bash a few years ago when the boyish swimmer boldly showed his ass crack. Just like Jake, Enchong's look-- his endearing Chinito face and his toned body-- is every  gay man's fantasy. He is a bit on the soft side too when he moves and speaks. Recently, an aspiring actor claimed in Facebook the he had an affair with Enchong. Xavier School boy Nico Ibaviosa is also being linked to him (although I really doubt it if this is true).


Reason To Doubt: There is a very thin line that separates being soft and gay, and Enchong's supporters swear that the heartthrob is just soft and not gay. He is said to be dating his leading lady Erich Gonzales.

RAYMOND GUTIERREZ

Reason To Believe:  They say that action speaks louder than words, and for observers, it seems that Raymond's small gestures speak them all. Being a fashionista and a BFF of many fabulous women gives a bad signal too. This twin brother of Richard Gutierrez has neither confirmed nor deny the gay issue in public.

Reason To Doubt: A photo of him tongue-tied with Carla Humphrey has been circulating online. Plus,  I think everyone deserves the benefit of the doubt.
