Big, big bucks for Willie Revillame

It is the most lucrative deal ever in Philippine entertainment history. Television host and producer Willie Revillame will be receiving a total compensation package worth over P4.5 billion in three years from TV5 for hosting just two shows-- "Willing-Wilie," a prime time game show with a similar format as "Wowowee," and "Born To Be A Star," a talent search.

On top of the P4.5B package, Willie will likewise be making millions of pesos from endorsements and hosting branding portions in his game show and will earn as co-producers of the shows. In partnership with Boss Vic del Rosario, Willie setup Will Productions which he hopes to become as stable as Tape Productions of Tito, Vic, and Joey of Eat Bulaga.

"Willing-Wilie" be challenge early primetime shows including news programs TV Patrol and 24 Oras and is expected to shakeup the Filipino masses' TV viewing habits. It will start airing on October 10 at time slot 6pm to 8pm. Meanwhile, "Born To Be A Star" is described by del Rosario as the ultimate talent search.

"We are looking for the next multimedia superstar just like Sarah Geronimo and Regine Velasquez. The show will bring out the best undiscovered Filipino talents," del Rosario said.

Reville is no doubt the richest man today in Philippine showbiz. Even if he loses his P485M case filed against him by ABS-CBN for his unfinished contract with the station, he still has a clean P4B to take home in the next three years.
